Multiprofessional Integrated Residency in Health

The Program of Multiprofessional Integrated Residency in Health at Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (RIMS-UFTM) is considered a Lato-Sensu Graduate Program. It aims to build and deepen knowledge and techniques in Health for the training of multiprofessional specialists.

Objective

The general objective of RIMS-UFTM is to specialize health professionals (social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, biomedicine professionals and Physical Educators) towards the development of skills that enable professional excellence in areas of integral healthcare. It involves people and communities, management and organization of health work and education in a way as to improve life quality.

Nursing Residency in Emergency/Trauma

Presentation

The Residency Program in Nursing in Emergency/Trauma has its Political-Pedagogical Guidelines and Methodological Strategies designed for the training of professionals skilled to act in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), having hospital management and attention as a guiding and training process.

Objectives

To specialize health professionals to act in the area of emergency/trauma, in activities related to assistance, teaching, research and management, on an interdisciplinary perspective and in accordance with the principles of SUS and the National Policy of Attention to Emergencies.

Nursing Residency in Neonatology

Presentation

The Residency Program in Neonatology at UFTM started in 2015 and has a duration of 24 months. The weekly workload is 60 hours, totaling 5,760 – 1,152 hours reserved for theoretical approach (tutoring, clinical sessions and seminars) and 4,608 hours reserved for the practical approach, which is divided as follows: training and internships in service, 48 hours for practical activities (including 8 hours on call) and 12 hours for theoretical workload (integrative seminar and group discussions).

 Objectives

The program aims at preparing professionals to i) recognize the health requirements and needs of the local population; ii) deal with specific care issues related to newborn health and his family; iii) understand the health and disease processes, identifying the social, economic and cultural conditions that interfere with it.
